Design Bridge and Partners designed Network Rail's new clock, marking the railway’s first national clock design in over half a century. I led the technical development of a merchandisable IoT desktop clock and Wear OS watch face prototype. For the desktop clock, the primary constraint was creating a device with zero physical buttons or digital menus. To solve this, I engineered a headless system using a Raspberry Pi and Python. I implemented a "captive portal" Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing users to configure the device purely through their smartphone. This software-led approach allowed the physical hardware to remain pristine, preserving the iconic silhouette without compromising functionality. Both products were featured in the launch of Rail Clock at London Bridge station.
